Announcing Power Tool Framework™
Weston Software, Inc.™ is pleased to announce that it has achieved patent-pending
status for its Power Tool Framework™ technology.
Power Tool Framework is the foundation behind the Power Tool product suite for managing
non-Microsoft® systems from a Microsoft desktop that is available now from Weston
Software, Inc. and its partners.
Power Tool Framework, runs on a Microsoft Windows™ desktop allowing administrators
to manage non-Microsoft systems that reside in the emerging Computing Cloud, Virtualized
environments (VMWare, Xen Source and Hyper-V), or in the Data Center. We are the
first interoperable solution that leverages the power of Microsoft Windows to manage
non-Microsoft systems using native UNIX/Linux protocols from a Microsoft desktop.
Our solutions require absolutely no changes to your existing UNIX/Linux computing
environment.
Power Tool Framework sets the standard in Interoperability by supporting more non-Microsoft
operating systems then any vendor in the industry. If your non-Microsoft based computer
supports the SSH protocol then Power Tool Framework will manage that machine using
the same familiar interface that Microsoft Windows administrators have been using
since the release of Microsoft Windows 2000. Power Tool Framework has been extensively
tested with operating systems from all of the leading UNIX and Linux vendors, including
(but not limited to) IBM® (AIX), Sun Microsystems® (Solaris), Hewlett Packard® (HP
U/X and VAX), Linux (Novell, Redhat, Ubuntu) and Apple.
Find out why some of the largest UNIX and Linux installations in the world are our
partners!
